Disneyland Paris is entering a whole new era, and as a lifelong theme park fan, I couldn’t be more excited! Over the next two years, the resort will undergo some of the biggest transformations in its history, with two brand-new themed lands on the way: World of Frozen and a first-of-its-kind Lion King land. Plus, Walt Disney Studios Park is getting a complete overhaul, marking a fresh start for the park.
So, what’s coming, and why is this such a big deal? Let’s dive in!
Step Into Arendelle – World of Frozen (Opening 2026)
Ever wished you could visit Arendelle and walk in the footsteps of Elsa and Anna? Well, that dream is about to become reality. World of Frozen is set to open in 2026, bringing the magic of Disney’s Frozen to life like never before.
The land will feature the Frozen Ever After boat ride, a fan-favorite attraction from EPCOT in Florida, but potentially with the tech of the latest edition in Tokyo giving guests an immersive journey through the world of Frozen.
Expect themed restaurants, shops, and character meet-and-greets with Elsa, Anna, and of course, Olaf!
The entire land will be packed with stunning Scandinavian architecture, icy blue lakes, and, of course, Elsa’s iconic ice palace towering in the distance.
For Disneyland Paris, this is a huge step forward, adding a much-needed immersive themed experience that rivals the best Disney parks worldwide.
A World-First – The Lion King Land
Disneyland Paris is making history by creating the first-ever fully themed Lion King land. This is massive. While details are still emerging, we already know a few key things:
The land will bring guests into the heart of the African Pride Lands, filled with lush scenery straight from the film.
A brand-new log flume ride will take guests through iconic scenes from The Lion King – imagine floating through the elephant graveyard or drifting past Pride Rock!
There will also be themed restaurants, character encounters, and immersive experiences that will transport guests directly into Simba’s world.
For fans of The Lion King (and let’s be honest, who isn’t?), this is an absolute dream come true.
The Reinvention of Walt Disney Studios Park
Beyond these two exciting lands, Walt Disney Studios Park is getting a full transformation.
The park will double in size and be rebranded as Disney Adventure World, bringing new themed areas and a much more immersive experience.
The park entrance is being reimagined as World Premiere Plaza, set to open in spring 2025.
This is a long-overdue change, finally bringing the magic and storytelling that the Studios Park has lacked since it first opened.
Final Thoughts – The Future of Disneyland Paris
For years, Disneyland Paris has felt like it was playing catch-up with other Disney resorts, but that’s all about to change. With World of Frozen, The Lion King land, and the complete reimagining of Walt Disney Studios Park, we’re about to see the biggest evolution of Disneyland Paris ever.
However, my biggest hope is that Disneyland Paris doesn’t take its foot off the gas. These investments are fantastic, but the key to making Disneyland Paris a truly world-class resort is keeping up this level of quality across the entire park. That means maintaining and upgrading existing attractions, ensuring the resort’s hotels and restaurants stay at the highest standard, and continuing to innovate beyond just these new lands.
This transformation is a huge step in the right direction—but let’s hope it’s just the beginning. Disneyland Paris has the potential to be one of the best theme parks in the world, and I want to see them keep pushing forward.
